The government recently passed laws banning gas vehicles within a 4 km radius of the Taj in an effort to curb erosion of the monument due to pollution. There are complementary buses or paying bicycle rickshaws to and from a satellite parking lot.
Outside the bus window are some of the tourist shops just outside the Taj gates which sell marble plaques and carvings with inlaid stones. Note the little calf browsing the goods.
