Humayun's Tomb, New Delhi, India

Humayun's tomb in New Delhi, India was one of the places

I stopped to take a look around.

Inside were the tombs of King Humayun and his wife.

His wife actually had the giant tomb completed after her husbands death, then joined him there later.

While I was there I walked around thegrounds quite a bit, I came across a large field of grass.

In the grass I saw something move.

I moved closer to see and as I did the wind parted the blades of grass

and out popped a little black puppy.

It was so cute and all alone, so I thought...

I began to walk towards it when all of a sudden out of what looked like a hole in
the ground came a very angry Momma Dog snarling and yipping as she ran straight toward me.

For a second I thought about trying to make peace, but as she swiftly closed in on me I took to
the wall next to me instead just as the mother dog reached her pup.

She ran past the pup and right at me.

I ran down the wall as fast as I could. My friend on the other side of a short but
dog-proof wall, stood there laughing at me the whole time.

I jumped over to where he was andthe mother dog broke off the attack and returned to her pup.

My friend was laughing at me because he knew I had always had a way with dogs in America,

but this was India.

We both got a good laugh out of that one!
