As part of our tour of old-town Varanasi, we visited a silk-weaving plant. The whole neighborhood clattered with the sound of these looms. The child is holding the shuttle and the adult is packing the threads. These two are making a silk sari.
As we were leaving, this little one came running after us, half-heartedly asking for rupees for the picture we took of him. A common way to get money from tourists in India.
